2. Mananchira Square

3. Kappad Beach
About 20kms away from Calicut lies the Kappad beach. The beach has a great deal of historical significance. It was here Vasco Da Gama landed with his sailors in three ships in 1498. This shipbuilding port of Beypore is about 10kms away from Kozhikode. It is also one of the busiest fishing harbours. Make sure to visit Beypore when in Kozhikode just to experience the old world charm. You can see the making of the Urus and also buy miniatures. 5. Thusharagiri Waterfalls
